Getting a UPPSC signature to 6 x 3 cm and under 30 KB
UPPSC's scanning guidelines ask for the signature 6 cm wide and 3 cm high, scanned at 200 DPI, with a file of no more than 30 KB. The signature must be in full and in your own hand: initials and signatures in capital letters are not accepted.
At 200 DPI, 6 x 3 cm comes to 472 x 236 pixels. This page crops the signature to that size where you place the crop box and saves it at the best quality under 30 KB.
Tips
- Sign in full with a dark pen on plain white paper, the same way you will sign at the exam.
- The signature goes on your admit card, and a signature in the answer sheet that does not match it can disqualify you.
- Take the photo close around the signature, then drag the crop box so it keeps all of it.
Requirements from UPPSC's guidelines for scanning the photograph and signature, checked 18 October 2026. Forms change their rules, so check the form itself if something is rejected.

Questions
Is it free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark.
What happens to my file?
It is processed on our server and deleted automatically: the original 5 minutes after the run finishes, the compressed file after 10. A file you upload but never compress is deleted within 30 minutes. You can also delete everything right away with Delete now.
Will it look worse?
We try a lossless cleanup first, which does not change how the file looks. Only if that is not enough do we lower image quality, and we pick the gentlest setting that still fits your size.
What if my file cannot get that small?
You get the smallest version we could make and a clear note saying so, instead of a file that silently misses the limit.
Why is my file a little under the limit I picked?
Some sites count a kilobyte as 1000 bytes and others as 1024. We aim under the stricter one, so a 200 KB page aims for 200,000 bytes and the file passes either way.
