Getting an APSC photo to 50 KB to 200 KB
APSC's advertisements say the One Time Registration on apscrecruitment.in takes a photo of at least 50 KB and at most 200 KB, not older than 3 months, along with your signature and other details. You then apply for each post from the same registration.
APSC sets no pixel size, so this page keeps the photo as large as fits under 200 KB. If a JPEG comes out under 50 KB, it is padded up to it with an invisible comment inside the file, so the photo is exactly the same.
Tips
- Upload a JPG photo: only a JPEG can be padded up to the 50 KB minimum.
- Crop close around your head and shoulders, against a plain light background.
- Each notification can set its own rules. If yours states a different size, change it under Change size or pixels before you compress.
Requirements from APSC Advertisement No. 05/2025, checked 19 October 2026. Forms change their rules, so check the form itself if something is rejected.

Questions
Is it free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark.
What happens to my file?
It is processed on our server and deleted automatically: the original 5 minutes after the run finishes, the compressed file after 10. A file you upload but never compress is deleted within 30 minutes. You can also delete everything right away with Delete now.
Will it look worse?
We try a lossless cleanup first, which does not change how the file looks. Only if that is not enough do we lower image quality, and we pick the gentlest setting that still fits your size.
What if my file cannot get that small?
You get the smallest version we could make and a clear note saying so, instead of a file that silently misses the limit.
Why is my file a little under the limit I picked?
Some sites count a kilobyte as 1000 bytes and others as 1024. We aim under the stricter one, so a 200 KB page aims for 200,000 bytes and the file passes either way.
