TGPSC's 2026 notifications ask for a recent colour passport-size photo between 100 KB and 200 KB, as a JPG or PNG. A phone photo is several megabytes, so it is compressed to fit.

Getting a TGPSC photo to 100 KB to 200 KB

TGPSC's 2026 recruitment notifications ask for a recent colour passport-size photograph, taken no more than 3 months before the last date of the application, as a JPG or PNG file between 100 KB and 200 KB. That minimum is high: a small, cropped photo can be under it.

This page keeps the photo as large as fits under 200 KB. If a JPEG comes out under 100 KB, it is padded up to it with an invisible comment inside the file, so the photo is exactly the same.

Tips

  • Upload a JPG: only a JPEG can be padded up to the 100 KB minimum. A PNG keeps its format.
  • Crop the photo close around your head and shoulders, against a plain light background.
  • Each notification can set its own rules. If yours states a different size, change it under Change size or pixels before you compress.

Requirements from TGPSC Notification No. 01/G/RB/2026 (2 June 2026), checked 19 October 2026. Forms change their rules, so check the form itself if something is rejected.

How it works

  1. 1

    Drop your file

Your photo or image. It goes over an encrypted connection and nowhere else.

  2. 2

    Check the settings

This page is set to the TGPSC photo rules. Change them only if yours are different.

  3. 3

    Download it

We find the gentlest setting that still fits, and delete everything soon after.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark.

What happens to my file?

It is processed on our server and deleted automatically: the original 5 minutes after the run finishes, the compressed file after 10. A file you upload but never compress is deleted within 30 minutes. You can also delete everything right away with Delete now.

Will it look worse?

We try a lossless cleanup first, which does not change how the file looks. Only if that is not enough do we lower image quality, and we pick the gentlest setting that still fits your size.

What if my file cannot get that small?

You get the smallest version we could make and a clear note saying so, instead of a file that silently misses the limit.

Why is my file a little under the limit I picked?

Some sites count a kilobyte as 1000 bytes and others as 1024. We aim under the stricter one, so a 200 KB page aims for 200,000 bytes and the file passes either way.
