TNPSC certificates

PDF200 KB or less for each claim

TNPSC asks for the certificates behind each claim in your application as one PDF of no more than 200 KB. A scan of a page or two is often several megabytes, so it is compressed to fit.

Getting TNPSC certificates under 200 KB

TNPSC's Instructions to Applicants say the certificates supporting every claim in the online application are uploaded with it, as one PDF file of not more than 200 KB for each claim, with one page or several. That covers the certificates for age, education, community and any other claim you make.

We lower the resolution of the scan step by step and keep the first step that fits under 200 KB, so the text stays as readable as the limit allows. Real text in a PDF is never blurred, only scanned images.

Tips

  • Put all the pages for one claim in one PDF, then compress that PDF here.
  • At the later on-screen certificate verification, TNPSC asks for PDFs of 300 KB to 500 KB scanned at 200 DPI. Pick that limit under Use a different limit when you get there.
  • If a certificate is a photo, save it as a PDF first (most phones can print to PDF).

Requirements from TNPSC's Instructions to Applicants (2025), checked 19 October 2026. Forms change their rules, so check the form itself if something is rejected.

How it works

  1. 1

    Drop your file

Your PDF. It goes over an encrypted connection and nowhere else.

  2. 2

    Check the settings

This page is set to the TNPSC certificates rules. Change them only if yours are different.

  3. 3

    Download it

We find the gentlest setting that still fits, and delete everything soon after.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark.

What happens to my file?

It is processed on our server and deleted automatically: the original 5 minutes after the run finishes, the compressed file after 10. A file you upload but never compress is deleted within 30 minutes. You can also delete everything right away with Delete now.

Will it look worse?

We try a lossless cleanup first, which does not change how the file looks. Only if that is not enough do we lower image quality, and we pick the gentlest setting that still fits your size.

What if my file cannot get that small?

You get the smallest version we could make and a clear note saying so, instead of a file that silently misses the limit.

Why is my file a little under the limit I picked?

Some sites count a kilobyte as 1000 bytes and others as 1024. We aim under the stricter one, so a 200 KB page aims for 200,000 bytes and the file passes either way.
