Getting a Kerala PSC photo to 150 x 200 and 30 KB

Kerala PSC's instructions ask for the photograph as a JPEG 200 pixels high and 150 pixels wide, of no more than 30 KB. Since the start of 2025, a new profile needs a photo taken within the last six months, with your name and the date it was taken printed clearly at the bottom. Once accepted, the photo stays valid for 10 years.

This page crops the photo to 150 x 200 pixels where you place the crop box and saves it at the best quality under 30 KB.

Tips

  • Get the name and date printed on the photo at the studio. This page does not add text.
  • Place the crop box so it keeps the name and date at the bottom, and your face clear above it.
  • The photo is uploaded once to your profile and used for every post you apply for.

Requirements from Kerala PSC's instructions regarding the photograph, checked 19 October 2026. Forms change their rules, so check the form itself if something is rejected.

How it works

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark.

What happens to my file?

It is processed on our server and deleted automatically: the original 5 minutes after the run finishes, the compressed file after 10. A file you upload but never compress is deleted within 30 minutes. You can also delete everything right away with Delete now.

Will it look worse?

We try a lossless cleanup first, which does not change how the file looks. Only if that is not enough do we lower image quality, and we pick the gentlest setting that still fits your size.

What if my file cannot get that small?

You get the smallest version we could make and a clear note saying so, instead of a file that silently misses the limit.

Why is my file a little under the limit I picked?

Some sites count a kilobyte as 1000 bytes and others as 1024. We aim under the stricter one, so a 200 KB page aims for 200,000 bytes and the file passes either way.
